monkeygirl
Yeah I guess I should share I just found out on Thursday that I'll be going to my local prep school...I applied in June thinking I'd get in the 2004-2005 school year, but an extreme stroke of luck came my way! Because I'm coming in so late, I really don't know what courses I'm taking, but I have an idea. My 11th grade year should look something like this: Chemistry 1 Math 30 English 30/Creative Writing History of some sort Spanish 10 Health Religion (?) Theatre (hopefully) Tennis or Volleyball...haven't decided yet. Oh and 11th grade isn't called "Junior" at my high school. Since it's a prep school, I'm an "Upper-Middler"... "Juniors" are actually the 9th graders! I'm excited about going, but a little nervous, too. I've been homeschooled my entire life, so this whole "classroom environment" thing is new for me. I'm afraid that I'll oversleep, forget where my classes are, or forget to do homework... But it's all good. My advisors will help me, and I know a few of the current students. 1st dan & Asst. battousai16
it's unavoidable. just quietly and sheepishly slink into the back of the class room. if the teacher points you out, just sort of look up, grin, and make some smart alec excuse as to why you were late. that's what i do anyway. maybe that's why all of my teachers don't like me... Kumite988
I try not to be late but when I am I give an 'excuse' depending on who the teacher is lol. Usually to the really mean and selfcentered teacher when I walk in late they say 'NICK THATS A TARDY, MY CLASS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST PRIORITY' really loud and try to sound over-authorative. That gets me so mad. I usually just say 'Uh huh, thats nice' cause if I told her that I like helped another teacher clean up she'd just say 'I don't care' or something like that. battousai16
see, my excuse is something along the lines of "well, i was on the way to class, when i noticed a peculiar looking man in the hall. i asked him what he was doing and it ended up being a bank robber i recognized on the news! i ran after him, tackled him, and took him to the police station. on the way back to school, i noticed the day care center on fire. i rescued the children and put out the fire, where i then noticed i was late and sprinted to class". they usually put their head in their hands, sigh, and say "just sit down, ben" works every time "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai

mArTiAl_GiRl
OH NOOOOOO!!! *screams out loud* School begins next month! September 1 in Estonia! And I'm going to 9th grade (in Estonia, it's not High School yet, High School here begins in 10th grade). I'm kind of depressed when I think about those yelling, yucky, old-fashioned estonian teachers My history teacher is a real Zombie, (we call her Zombie, 'cause she is 178cm tall, white hair and totally white face, purple/blue lips and eyes like she hasn't slept for 1000 years), yeah a real Zombie, she looks like she is frozen or like she once fell into ice cold water, lol. She yells so loudly that after yelling my ears hurt. My math teacher is like an owl. She's reaaallyy old-fashioned. And my art teacher is such a tragedy!! We call her 'Tragedy'. Cause she wears ONLY black clothes, every single day, and when I say: I'm sorry Teacher, but it's not finished yet. Then she gets a 'heart attack' and says: OH MY GOD! I can't believe it! It's a tragedy! Suzana!! Oh what have you done to yourself! and then she faints, and I'm like whatever. lol, I remember once when I and my classmates made an April joke for her, all of us said: we're not finished with our paintings yet. And one of us said: And I lost my painting! And the art teacher said: OOOH JESUS CHRIST!!! The funniest April joke was the one we made for the History teacher. I ran to the History Teacher and said: Teacher! You know what just happened?? I read in the 'Times' newsletter that a tourist astrayed in a Pyramid in Egypt! He just lost and no one knows where he is!! And the History Teacher: OH MY WHOLY GOD!!! I'M SURE THERE WAS A CURSE ON THAT PYRAMID!! O MY GOD! lol, after that joke I laughed the rest of the day cause, oh c'mon 'a tourist astrayed in a Pyramid'... Kill is love
