Aparently a hormone called adrenocorticotropin can work effectively has a human alarm clock simply by thinking about the time you want to wake up the night before. It is said to kick in about 90 minutes before we told ourselves to wake up.

Don't need an internal clock. The neighbor's rooster seems to wake me up before the clock radio turns on. Might be having a chicken dinner sometime soon.

It's happy hour somewhere in the world.

Really? Is that assuming out interal clocks are set to the right time? Most of the time, they arn't. lol, we are living in the time of the Jetsons, not the flintstones, we have clocks now, lol.

I can relate. How many times do you wake up like 2 minutes before the clock is supposed to go off. I hate when that happens. LOL.

I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.

One time, I was supposed to get up at 4 am for this really important trip. I guess I was excited about the trip because I woke up at PRECISELY 4 am...I literally sat straight up in my bed, looked at my alarm clock (which I had set the night before) and watched it go from 3:59 to 4:00.

The funny part was, even though I had set the alarm, it didn't go off! My alarm was not ringing...I woke up on my own. I even checked to make sure that it was set up right .... on AM and not PM, volume turned up, alarm turned on...all systems were apparently go. It was very strange indeed. :o
