Pacificshore Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 Ok, I just watched this movie tonight and found it to be one for my DVD collection. The movie has the"gun kata" in it, and I know there was a topic on it, but couldn't find it, so I started another. What wasn't mentioned in the other topic, if I recall right is the final fight scene with good vs. evil. It basically was some wing chun stickey hands with each fighter having a gun trying to shoot each other. I thought it was pretty cool to watch. Also there was a sword fight, and after the good guy dispatches all the bad guys, he has one other dude to take care of, and he does it in 3 cuts. The final cut being the bad dude's face, from chin to forehead, quite visually captivating . Anyway, as I said a must for the DVD collection. If you have'nt seen it go rent it, it's worth the bucks in my opinion . Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
Black Dragon Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I thought it was a good movie, if they would have spent more money making it and marketing it, it would have been better. They also should have stayed away from looking a little bit like the Matrix So recognize or be hospitalized Cuz literally on a scale from one to ten I'm 25.
kchenault Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 Very cool action scenes and gun fights. The best gunfights IMO. Standing in a circle of dudes with massive weapons and just by shifting your aim, taking them all out. Stunning. Christian Bale is an action hero waiting to happen. Check out Reign of Fire to see this great actor do his thing. Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!
mouko_yamamoto Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I liked it. That world sounds like it was inspired my the book '1984' Tang Soo Do/Tae Kwon Do....Oh yeah, and unofficially...KENJUTSU"There are five possible operations for any army. If you can fight, fight; if you cannot fight, defend; if you cannot defend, flee; if you cannot flee, surrender; if you cannot surrender, die." ~ Sima Yi
daeinwolf Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 I watched it last night. It was pretty cool. The whole "gun kata" bit was really awesome. Overall, good movie. --Joshua There are no limits.
