If you ever have problem with them holding up their leg just sweep them or jam them or punch them or tackle them and then Ground and Pound.

Best defense would be to parry the side kick. So with your lead hand(assuming left)you push her leg left when it comes into your range. It will totally put her offbalance.and will make her spin if done proparly and you can steam in with punches.

 

Hardest thing is timing, but thats just practise.

 

Or just side step those kicks, you don't have to move in a straight line!

Parrying the side kick is a good tactic. If you can get around the kick, that's also good.

 

I'd fake a blitz or something to draw her kick out. Then, blitz in hard. If you time it right, she won't be able to get that second kick out. If you don't, you'll take a side kick to the gut. You'll get it after some practice.

Here's an idea on countering the kicking flamingo ;)

 

closed stance:

 

step with front foot at an angle 45 degrees toward your opponents 'front side'.

 

then, immediantly to a crescent kick (height even to her kick) with your other leg to parry the kick

 

then, immediantly follow with round kick with the foot that first stepped out

 

open stance:

 

same thing except step first with your back foot, the crescent with your other, and round with your back foot
