G95champ
Fox news is reporting that we killed both of Saddams sons this mouring. Great news. (General George S. Shorin Ryuu
If that is true, I wish they were brought to justice for what they did instead of them getting off easy and just dying. Not that I mean they get some cruel and unusual punishment, but have some sort of trial or official public recognition of their crimes. Especially the older one, he was REAL messed up (relatively speaking, of course, they were both messed up). EDIT: Of course, from an expediency point of view, it does make things much easier... Fenris-wolf
While I'm as happy as anyone that the revolting b*stards are gone, I'm not sure what I think of an entire thread to celebrate their deaths... It seems a little sick. OK, I put that badly. Not attacking anyone here. What I mean is that yes, their deaths are certainly advantageous for everybody concerned, but why are we revelling in it? A death is a death, and not something to be celebrated. It may be a relief, but the ending of another's life is not something that we, as "good" people, should glory in. (I used the quotation marks because I prefer not to paint everything into "good" and "evil", but it was expedient to use that word in this case) That probably didn't make a lot of sense, but you get the idea. Patrick
I don't know if anyone is reveling in death, so to speak. I think people are reveling in the fact that one of the most wanted people in the world (two of them actually) are done. Dead or alive, they are over. I think thats what people are happy about. Fenris-wolf
Yeah, I suppose. I dunno, I didn't articulate myself particularly well. I think that it just stems from my opinions about the entire affair. While there were certainly good reasons to overthrow Saddam, the hypocrisy of the USA reeeally annoys me. But I'm not looking for an argument, although I've probably offended quite a few people with that. So never mind me, I'll just wander over here... G95champ
Well with all the bad news the past few weeks with sniper attacks on our boys and junk its good to finally hit back and hit hard. I am happy they are dead these 2 guys were prob. the most evil and sick men the world has seen. IMO Hitler had nothing on them. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
