major_motoko
I do target archery with a recurve bow. Not to sound preachy or anything to you guys, but I don't believe in hunting animals for sport. That's just me. You guys probably think vegetarians are weirdos right? But you know it does "float my boat" to hit the inside gold It's great to hear the "THWACK" as the arrow hits the target! And compound bows - woo, they are something else!! motoko 2nd Kyu Brown Belt, Wado Ryu Karate-do"Daniel-san best karate still inside!" Wado Guy
Compound bows are pretty intense. I've never heard the "THWACK" as an arrow hits inside the gold :( I'll stick to my 9mm

Martial_Artist
I love having elk meat for a few months. Saves me money at the store, plus I get elk jerky, elk burgers, elk steak, elk...well you get the picture. Not only does it save money I get to hunt it. Shotokan_Fighter
im just gald to see that the sport of bowhunting is around, and ppl want to get into it. you want an intense hunt, try stalking deer in a corn feild, thats intense. you get very close to the game. Martial_Artist
Corn field? There aren't any deer in any cornfields here. We have to go out to the desert, or the woods. I prefer a good week long forest hunt. I've had whitetail come up and sniff me, because they couldn't tell if I was a bush or something else. GrrrArg
Even more intense try hunting with your bare hands, naked, just like animals do. That should even things up somewhat. Im not a hunting fan as you can see-don't have a problem hunting for food but for sport it seems a bit callous. Oh and im not a veggie either-way to gassy as I've heard, besides steak does taste good.. *Not meant to cause offense but it probably will anyway
ZR440
I think Ted Nugent tried that once. Naked hunting with bare hands, that is. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
