Fenris-wolf Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 Oh, man no. I wish I could, I've only done archery briefly. Yes, I know this doesn't help you much... My mate @ Muay Thai does though occasionally and I'm trying to convince him to take me. Let Us Turn The Jump Rope In Accord With Socialist Principles!

Shotokan_Fighter Posted July 18, 2003 Author Posted July 18, 2003 man once you see the arrow fly right into a bucks vital area, then it will float your boat. fireka Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 ive wanted dto for a real long time, but my dads insisted on shotgun cheater! i really like fantasy, ive always wanted to hunt with a bow, and instead of a blaze orange vest and hat, have like a blaze orange cloack, and tied head band with some old peaseant clothes. Shotokan_Fighter Posted July 18, 2003 Author Posted July 18, 2003 hunting with a bow is something else, i hunt with a recurve so i fell even more traditional. bowhunting you get really close to the animal, iv had a deer walk right by me 4 yards away!, i was ground hunting and it was a doe, i killed that doe at 8 yards away. I have never shot anything outside of 10 yards away from me, its awsome. "When I fight, I fight with my heart, and soul. Martial_Artist Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 I bow hunt. I hunt bull elk. I love it. I hunt w/o sights. Sometimes I hunt mule deer or whitetail. But I love bul elk. There is nothing like waking in the early morning to the quiet of the woods and the bugle of an elk as the sun breaks the mountain horizon. Oooo, elk season is coming up soon. Too bad I didn't get drawn this year. Maybe next year. MA. "I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination.Imagination is more important than knowledge.Knowledge is limited. John G Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 All my friends here are bow hunters but it never floated my boat much. “Floated my boat” haven’t heard that expression in years… Prior to taking up martial arts I use to bow hunt (compound with sights, not that it made any bloody difference). All we have is the odd kangaroo, emu, wild pig, rabbit and seasonal ducks to hunt for around these parts. Bagged a kangaroo once, there's something about watching a creature bleed to death then throttling is joey (baby kangaroo in mother pouch) and throwing their useless carcases into the bush that didn’t quite jell with me. If that’s your kind of thing go for it, whatever floats your boat. ... John G Jarrett III Dan, ITF Taekwon-Do
Warp Spider Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 I think the intention is to eat or at least display the thing you hunt, not just throw it away, but "whatever floats your boat." Paladin - A holy beat down in the name of God!
