Things NOT to say to your instructor...

Recommended Posts

Things you should NEVER say to your instructor...

Hmmm... yeah, that's cool, but I don't know if Bruce would do it that way.

I don't think you could really hurt anyone with that technique.

Those Pyjamas look pretty funny.

That workout wasn't tough at all.

That looks just like Taekwondo. (In a karate class)

That hurts you idoit!

These classes are a bit pricey..

How much to take a grade?

Wow! Your wife/daughter is one hot babe!!

Your karate may be good, but I bet I can drink you under the table...

Keep Smiling!

"It seems as though the classes are getting easier lately!"

I keep asking God what I'm for and he tells me........."gee I'm not sure!"

My personal favourite is the second one.. "I don't think you could really hurt anyone with that technique"

I've actually heard someone say that to a senior instructor before.. Everyone else in the class either had their jaw drop to the ground or started giggling (as quietly as possible).. needless to say, we all heard that sound - of a student being pummeled)..

Oh, and the technique worked by the way...

Ah, Valithor has reminded me of another:

"You mean to tell me that, YOU, little girl, could pull off a technique like that on ME?" (Big 300 lb + student to me, while I was assisting with a self-defense class)

I'm happy to say that the student was convinced of the effectiveness of the technique in a matter of seconds :D
