telsun
Why do I feel so lethargic? I'm also feeling moody. If it is my diet (likely) what am I lacking? Carbs? How do you/ can I combat feeling this way I keep asking God what I'm for and he tells me........."gee I'm not sure!"
StoneSkin
what do you eat ? how often do you eat ? how often do you exercise ?
telsun
Well a bit difficult to answer that accurately. I work shifts so my eating times vary drastically. But I generally eat: when I get up, then about every 3 hours there after. BUt like I said it does very immensley. I also find my eating habits are better the days that I am at work as the times are scheduled for me. At home I tend to be too busy and forget to eat As far as what I eat. Mmm....I like fruit, eat loadsa bananas. I also like sweets and cakes, but I do try to control my intake. I get some veg in but not as much as I should. Drink quite a bit of milk. I don't know what else to put general sort of everyday stuff really. I am not super healthy but I do have awareness as to what I put into my body. Incidentally, when I was younger (so much younger than today, didn't need anybodies help in any way.....) I was diagnosed by the doctor as having low sugar levels. His advice? Eat a Mars bar a day! Could this be relevant. Also I recently had a blood test and my phospate came out as being low. What does phosphate do??? I keep asking God what I'm for and he tells me........."gee I'm not sure!" SaiFightsMS
When your blood sugar is to low lethargic is one way to describe the way you begin to feel. As it drops lower you may experience blurred vision, shakiness, sleepiness and slurred speech.
telsun
I get mild forms of them nothing too bad. I don't get the shakes though. I didn't answer the other part of the question. How much do I exercise? Well I do bits every day. A run. Some bagwork. Etc. I exercise extremely hard (extremely by my standards) 2 or 3 times a week depending on my shift. I keep asking God what I'm for and he tells me........."gee I'm not sure!"
StoneSkin
if you have low blood sugar then it is possible you are hypo glycemic. I reccomend always carrying a little snack with you to keep your energy lvl up when you start to feel bad east somethin. Also I recomend eating more proteins and pastas. But also do lots of cardio when taking in lots of carbs.
StoneSkin
forgot to mention.. Unburnt carboyhyrdates turn into fat. So all those people who like to eat salads all day and never work out. Are basicly getting fatter.
Tibby
From what you said above, it looks like your protein intake is low. Protein makes up the majority of your body, when you work out, your protein is what builds you back up and heals you. Sounds like your getting plenty of Carbs. You need to get some animal protein into you, see how that works. Also, how hard do you train? How long do you run daily? Weekly? What about bag work? It is possible that you are working to hard. Could your job be keeping you from sleeping? that is a possablity as well.
telsun
Tibby, I run when I feel like it!! I don't think that I train to hard (is that possible ) Little and often. I think that you maybe onto something with the protein. Looking into my diet; there is less protein than I would have expected. So I will be upping my intake. Although I preferably like to get my protein from fish and white meat, do you think that this matters? Could my job be preventing me from getting sleep!! Working 12 hour nights and days does tend to effect my sleep, to say the very least. However as much as like to blame my work I know that it is down to my lack of discipline that I do not get enough sleep. StoneSkin, hypo glycemic is what the doc called it. Any suggestions as to healthy snacks I could be carrying? I keep asking God what I'm for and he tells me........."gee I'm not sure!"
