kle1n Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 now thats a hard one. which art do u guys think is more combat effective? Be everything. Be nothing.
Prodigal Son Posted July 6, 2003 Posted July 6, 2003 Well, i'm prepared to take on any two Silat dudes in my front garden. >>PS<<< LOL - only kidding. I hear it's a great art. ------------------------------------------------------------------------Self-defense is only an illusion, a dark cloak beneath which lurks a razor-sharp dagger waiting to be plunged into the first unwary victim. Sifu Wong.
JerryLove Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Obviously, I've chosen Sialt.. having access to both... Though it's also worth nothing there i no one art which is "Silat". https://www.clearsilat.com
ForeverTheArt Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 silat, definately To advance the art,To honor my sifu,To fight for the sake of the fight.
kle1n Posted July 10, 2003 Author Posted July 10, 2003 hmm for me personally i find wing chun more effective. just goes to show that its not the art but the fighter. Be everything. Be nothing.
TJS Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 just goes to show that its not the art but the fighter. not again...
kle1n Posted July 11, 2003 Author Posted July 11, 2003 well it is wether you like it or not Be everything. Be nothing.
TJS Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 well it is wether you like it or not Style does matter..If it didint i could make my own stlye up today and it would be equally effective as any otehr stlye...thats rediculous. ultimatly it comes down to the person but stlye does play a role.
WC-Strayder Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 Off cause style matter. Both, B-coz it also depence on how well the person have learned the style and how well that person use teckiques he has learn. I off cause, have to say Wing Chun. Silat is called "Dance of dead", but isn't that more for the show than for good use. Don't hang me on this one, that is just what I had read about Silat. Personally I just know what I'll read about it so please correct me if I'm wrong. If the first lesson was a failure, then you know that skydiving isn't for you!
kle1n Posted July 12, 2003 Author Posted July 12, 2003 you have a good taste strayder Be everything. Be nothing.
