I am 5' 10", 140 pounds and five percent bodyfat. I eat a ton, and have visable abs. I am just built that way.

If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point.

Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.

From another point of veiw...

I regularly do sit ups. I have fairly large abs but a stack of fat.

While playing with my friends i realised if i'm tense i can take full power punches to the stomach without having the wind knocked outta me. It still hurts but not as bad as it would if i'd done no sit ups.

So i'm glad i've got strong abs and have done quite a bit of conditioning. I've got a slight six-pack but i'm not that fit. And it still hurts if i get hit on the ribs or solar plexus.

I'd rather have strong abs and take shots to the body so and can keep my guard up to cover my face and maintain my good looks :P

Im about 11% body fat, 6'1 170 lbs all that good crap, I find that if you are at the point where you can obviously see a 6-pack (like myself) then you will be in similar condition throughout most of your body, and there will be a general promotion of muscle and lacking of fat.

To test my current conditioning, I had two kickboxers, both about 20 lbs less than myself punch and kick me in the torso as hard as they could. It was very easy to take the puches and most of the kicks, they simply turned me a bit red, and their punches basically bounced off.

That doesnt mean a solar plexus hit wouldnt take me down, but through all the conditioning and natural physique advantages, the high muscle % really has made a difference in how much punishment I can take in comparison to most people.

Patience is a grand- either you can learn it or I can make you learn it.

Yeah they're nice to have - who doesn't want to be the muscular dude?

But also your abs help support your spine and give you better posture. Work'em if you're pleased with your abudance or lacking of them but are healthy, well be happy who'll object?

Next time you get a guy who does that, call him "skinny." That is one of the biggest blows to a lifters ego, calling him skinny! That will make him change his tune.

"Haha, I have a 6-pack"

"Yeah, but onyl because your a freak'n rail!"
