BlueDragon
I think the parents should be taught some respect. I am sick of parents standing in the entrance and trying to whisper to their kid that they're waiting in the car. The worst case came when my sensei became fetup with a yellow belt and told him he isn't going to get his orange belt for along time and might as well leave if he doesn't change his attitude and work ethic. The kid (12 years old) was trying to hold back tears for the rest of the class. After the class his mother approached my Sensei and tore into him saying he had no right to say what he said and if he didn't give him an orange belt soon she would find someone who would. My Sensei was furios but he controlled his anger and just told her to get out and not come back. _________________ "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" -Hendrix [ This Message was edited by: BlueDragon on 2001-08-21 10:19 ] "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" -Hendrix

KickChick
I believe there is a general lack of respect in most everything nowadays...why should the martial arts be any different? ...just playing devil's advocate Deby
angiewinter
just because we have a joke about in class, we never show disrespect in our classes.<<----written by tobias reece, Tobias is right, I am one of Tobias's students, and we do sometimes joke about in class, but we take in our teachings seriously, take for instance last night's class, we were dealing with muggings and rape, we ALL took that seriously and we will be continuing the subject. iamrushman
what was i thinking.....i must of had another thread in my head when i wrote the above statement. (lol) yes; all life and individuals should be respected, also i try to win over others that have no respect by showing even more respect...of course my mood often dictates that. rushman (karate forums sensei)3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon"saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson

iamrushman
>i try to win over others that have no respect by showing more respect....of course my mood dictates that.< lol........maam.......please read my reponse again...... they have already disrespected me. so it is obvious thay don't like me before they know me. therefore; if i'm not in the best of moods they deserve what they get. i live by a noble and honorable code, so to live for someone else with disrespect in there heart would be futile for me. rushman (karate forums sensei)3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon"saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson
