Angus Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 Hahha, if u keep pulling ur groin muscle u might go blind dude.... Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
KickChick Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 Sounds to me F-S-K like you didn't warm upa and stretch properly before kicking ...let alone for kicking to the head! Looks like you need to take it easy for a few days...really you should not work out with the pain. You should have immediately put an ice pack on pulled muscle. YEOW!! ....really it will help to reduce the swelling and inflammation of your groin strain. You might also take a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) or acetaminophen to relieve pain. Rest the affected muscle until the swelling and inflammation subside. Later — after 48 hours or more — you can apply a warm compress to relax the damaged muscle tissue and encourage the body's natural healing processes. Stretch longer next time...actually now you will need to favor that area until you can stretch it out with no pain! Hope you're kicking high soon! Deby
iamrushman Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 groin pulls takes time to heal...i suggest..rest,rest, rest....oh yea; no kicking above the knee for a while........... don't feel bad though i've pulled both mine twice at one time or another....... rushman (karate forums sensei)3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon"saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson
babysteffee Posted September 26, 2001 Posted September 26, 2001 Awww F-S-K, that must be awful. You should definitely rest it for a while. How on earth can you manage to do a lead leg rounhouse anyway...yikes, my lead leg is lucky to reach the knee.
