It's Kung Fu San Soo not Kung Fu San Shou.

Featured Replies

I just wanted to clearify something that comes up now and then. Kung San Soo and San Shou are different Martial Arts all together. One is competitive the other is not. Here's a link for Kung Fu San Soo tell me what you think.

This is the founder.

San Soo is "basically" a Chinese striking art.

San Shou is "basically" a Chinese grappling art.

I not sure what you mean, but San Soo has some grappling in it and San Shou definitely has striking in it. Cung Le is a San Shou Champ and he definitely has striking in his fighting style. San Shou has some throws and take downs and from what I have seen some locks. But so does San Soo.

Trust me, although the arts do have over lap, thats bacially what they are.
san shou is basically Muay Thai with Throws and sweeps.

er, no

muay thai is from thailand.

both of the others have a chinese origin.

post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are.

I studied San Soo and I've watched quite of few San Shou fights and I have to say that they are very different. San Soo is a Combat MA, and San Shou is a Competition Fighting Art, big difference. I'd say San Soo is more of a grappling art than San Shou. Check the clips out and then go to Cung Le's sight and watch him fight.
