TKDLadyInSC Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 I am having my knee scoped & a lateral release (they snip a little into the ligaments holding the kneecap in place to let it rise some and relieve rubbing and pressure) on April 16th. Just wondering in any other martial artists have had this same surgery? My doctor told me it would be 6 weeks before I am completely back. Will have to excersize the mental aspect of the art and work some upper body in the meantime. 1st Degree Black BeltTaeKwonDo
WhiteBelt Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 I've had my knee scoped, I was walking by the end of the day. I did NOT have a lateral release though. Six weeks is not all that long. You can always visit the school and help out and watch. It might keep you motivated.
TKDLadyInSC Posted June 6, 2003 Author Posted June 6, 2003 Yes, I've already spoken with my instructor about that and he said yes. My doctor told my if it was just the scope that it would be a lot quicker recovery. 1st Degree Black BeltTaeKwonDo
