KwicKixJ1
umm... since no one's said it yet. do A LOT of sit-ups. at LEAST 500 crunches per night. try to get at least 150 per set. that's how i increased my kick speed for years. everything else is pretty much supplemental. like... hip abductor and adductor weight work. y'know... the one where you have the pads on the inside/outside of your legs and you open/shut them... this will also boost your flexibility. but yah. crunch crunch crunch. and once 500 gets to be easy, bump it up to 1000. and don't use one of those dorky sit-up machines. do it yourself. oh... but keep in mind that you need to work out your back too. if you have a rockin six-pack, but a flimsy back, you WILL suffer from back pain due to the imbalance in strength distribution. anyways, hope that helped. Nikkolaiashimon
ankle weights work, but be careful how much weight you wear...and when useing weights dont kick full speed, slow your kicks down and let your legs feel the weight...with a lot of slow repition with like 5-10 pounds of weight, you will really see a speed improvment! retsu
this is a very traditional chinese oldern ways of kick training go inside a swimming pool/seaside to pratice your kick. train your kick against the resistance of the water, this can increase the speed and power of your kick. *don't go too deep if u can't swim, craming are common in such training.
