VashTheStampede Posted May 26, 2003 Author Posted May 26, 2003 whoo what are theseWTF, ITF, MDK things?? I don't know any thing about it!! could you explain it for me? I am just asking you for the basic training and some great sites
Musipilot Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 If you list where you're from Vash, you may get some more specific tips. Drop by and say hi! - http://www.hbtaekwondo.com - http://www.kangselite.com
monkeygirl Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 ITF = International Tae Kwon Do Federation WTF = World Tae Kwon Do Federation MDK = Moo Duk Kwon Tae Kwon Do schools are usually members of one federation or another, or at the very least, hold some similarities to a federation. Moo Duk Kwon is like a sub-style of Tang Soo Do, if I remember correctly. I'm not familiar with MDK, so perhaps someone else can explain it? 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
Scandinavian Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 Basically: ITF TKD = traditionally oriented WTF TKD = very sports oriented MDK TKD = self-defence oriented ?
karatekid1975 Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 The TKD MDK school I'm with is self defense oriented. It is VERY similar to TSD. It's just that we mix TKD and TSD forms together. Everything else is the same. Laurie F
VashTheStampede Posted May 27, 2003 Author Posted May 27, 2003 Oh thanks for the explaining but I still want sites ,free lessons sites with dozens of illustrations for beginners
