TheDevilAside Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 Elvis Presley! He's not exactly famous for his martial arts career, but apparently he was really good. I just gotta beat it to believe it. "If you're going through hell, keep going." - Sir Winston Churchill
italian_guy Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 I pick Chuck Norris, Bill Wallace, Jackie Chan and Dan Inosanto. ... But it must be light contact sparring.
Red Triangle student Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 I would like to spar with ranbk Brennan oir Andy Sherry or Terry O neil or Bob Poynton. They must go light on me though! aefibird Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 I agree with the others about Elvis - seeing him in action would have been good. I'd also pick Jackie Chan because I like his style, Dan Inosanto because that man is pure genius and O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba because I'd have loved to have seen his aikido in action first hand. Ditto for Mas Oyama. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
Drunken Monkey Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 hmmm, i'm not sure if 'spar' is what i would want from these people. i would like to see how jackie chan would fight. i would like to see how much bruce lee back then. and the see how much dan inosanto knows now (poor guy, always in his sifu's shadow despite having 30 years extra training than bruce....) i would like to see leung jan, chan wah sum, yip man, wong shun leung and see how wing chun has changed. i would like to see the ten tigers. raelly, i guess i just want to see how they used to fight and compare with what we are taught today. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
Batosai Imora Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 i have a few people i would like to spar with Jackie Chan Bruce Lee Zhang Ziyi Chun Li ladies email me for some fun
blitzcraig Posted May 3, 2004 Author Posted May 3, 2004 I know jackie chan can fight. I read an interview about him and he said that many years ago he and a friend were walking and they saw some bikergangs bikes and his friend pointed at them and said "im gonna have a bike like that some day" and well the bikers saw it and approached jackie and his friend negalivly and his friend spouted off and jackie and this guy had to fight like 6-8 bikers and with in 2 minutes they took them all!!! Thats nuts!!! I would also like to spar myself....not saying im great by any means, I just think it would be cool. #1"The road to tae kwan leep is an endless road leading into the herizon, you must fully understand its ways". #2"but i wanna wax the walls with people now" #1"come ed gruberman, your first lesson is here.....boot to the head" #2"ouch, you kicked me in the head", #1"you learn quickly ed gruberman"
