fireka Posted May 11, 2003 Author Posted May 11, 2003 yea there really cool, the good ones can sorta act like mikawaras, that is, they through back forward with the same force you put into them, so you can acurastley messure how powerful your strikes are getting, thats because there filled with water. when you feel them with sand there not as good. i finnaly found out they sell them a the dicks near me, but they were out of stock i hope my next pay check is a decent one, i have to make a payment on my computer and save up for a wavemaster. karate_woman Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 I got mine today (an early Mother's Day present from hubby) It is an "original" wavemaster (weighs 270 lbs when filled). One thing about it is it doesn't take much for me to get it rocking/moving. I was kind of surprised at how much it moved when I hit it, and I wasn't hitting full force by any means. Now I know what SaifightsMS meant when she mentioned chasing the thing around her living room! It is still lots of fun, though. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. -Lao-Tse
fireka Posted May 11, 2003 Author Posted May 11, 2003 yea, i noticed that when i tried the one at my dojo, my only major asset in competetion is i have a right leg like a shotgun and it about takes care of that wavemaster. "i could dance like that!.......if i felt like it...." -Master Betty
SaiFightsMS Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Hubby probably finds it amusing to watch you chase it too.
Dragon Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 What i do at home: I warm up. I then do clockwise pressups on my knuckles (you jump around clockwise) I practise kata techniques and that.
