47MartialMan
But, from comtinued training, you become disciplined, any having more tools, to not take a life. The "Christian Struggle" is the same with the "Buddhist Struggle". Research why Buddhists had a struggle with it and finally embraced it. My advantage is that one of my students is a collegiate professor in Buddhism. We switch the roles of instructor and student frequently. And no, reading about another religion should not conflict with your faith.

TheDevilAside
However, what I do continue to struggle with on occasion is the principle of it all. I'm training to potentially end someone's life if need be, right? In my style, at least, at the rank I am at, I could end somebody's life if I do the techniques correctly. I know I would never intentionally do that, but I have (finally) reached the point where things are becoming reflexive, and I don't have to think about them. What happens if some day, one of my friends starts getting attacked in front of me, and before I know it, I've killed their attacker? Any thoughts?Christ forgives... judicial system might not. kchenault
That's right kiddies. The powers that be are in place to hand out whatever consequences you might have coming to you. Sin can be forgiven, but there are always consequences to your actions. Thanks for pointing that out DevilsAside. We can also forgive each other. Might take some time, but it is an achievable goal. But, sometimes you still have to pay a price for your wrong choices in life, those prices just don't have to be eternal. Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good! Yeah, but they CAN sure "feel" that way locked behind bars for a long, long time.
kchenault
It ain't called punishment for nothin'. Seriously though, I have worked in some prisons for my company and it is really more like a vacation at some places. Free education, all the exercise you want, free food. Only problem is you can't leave whenever you want. That is enough motivation for me to keep my nose clean. But again, I digress. Forgive me. Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!
