So what does everyone really think about whats goin on out in the gulf??

I personally reckon Saddam needs to be taken out, but we dont need to go to war with a whole country just to get 1 person. But then again it seems thats what the people of iraq want. Hell I dont know what to think!

What I do know is that more people have lost their lives in accidents than in combat. I think thats bad.

So what do you reckon? :-? :-?

Well even though we're already at war I wish they would just go in and get saddam and stop screwing around. I dont' even know why they're sending troops to baghdad anymore, he's not gonna be in baghdad.

I would have preffered taking Saddam out alone, but we have a law against covert assassinations of foreign leaders in this country. War unfortunately, IMO, was the only way to accomplish this. Especially since the Iraqi people are too afraid to rise up. I pray we will squash him like a bug.

I agree, just getting Saddam would be the best route. Technically, once war is declared there is nothing stopping us from not even sending any troops but instead just going after the leader alone. If you all remember, our very first attack was to go after Saddam. The bunker that he was suspected to be in was the very first target hit. So, we did try to just take out Saddam. Unfortunatly we either failed, or there are too many other people in Iraq that wish to carry on his regime.

Might as well take my advice--I don't use it anymore.

Why? It would still be breaking that law, because we would be ordering the strike. Seems anti-war doesn't mean anti-killing to some.

Change the law back to pre-Clinton days and we could just go get him. But how would you know it was him. I don't think it would be as easy as it would seem. I think we all look at it through Hollywood's eyes. Covert assassins sneak into presidential palace, slit Saddam's throat, and then slip out before anyone realizes what has happened. It cannot be that easy with a guy like Saddam. This also has to do with following through and keeping our word. The US said from the beginning that we would take him out if he didn't comply. Unlike the UN, we are a people of our word. We are forcing him to comply. No more walking on eggshells. It should have been done 12 years ago, but we gave diplomacy a chance. In this instance, it failed, and so did the UN. You can't keep threatening to do something to someone and expect them to fall in line. If you tell a child to do something and they don't do it the first time you tell them, they will continue to push and see just how far they can go before the hammer falls. We told him once, it was time for the hammer to fall. It has fallen. It's called discipline. The world sorely lacks discipline in this day and age.

I'm glad to see it done.Anytime you can take out a dictator or commie government thats a good thing in the long run.

Just hate seein a PC military.Man everyone in the world is learning how to play that game.

Many people believe this war is about oil. I hate seeing these college students with signs stating "No blood for oil" esp. since this isn't about frigen oil. Saddam needs to be taken out because he is too much of a threat to the rest of the world. Esp. if he has or is trying to make weapons of mass destruction. War is def. not good but in many cases it is the only solution.

So to answer the topic I am for the war 100% and I support all our troops.

I'm for it even more now. And I don't care what the nitwits in Hollywood or other countries think of us. They can go pee on a spark plug.

It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
