I believe Fighting Ability, Technique and Wisdom are the three things one needs to obtain his/her belt. Valn Posted August 26, 2001 Share Posted August 26, 2001 I would like to think that a black belt would be an awesome fighter but in reality this is far from the truth. Now, I'm not saying that every black are bad fighters, but it's not the belt that makes the fighter. In short, the pretty black belt will not be here to fight for you in a street fight, and it is the skills of the fighter that will save him. Everyone has individual strengths that make them deserving. Empty your mind : be formless, shapeless like water. Now you can put water inot a cup and it becomes that cup.
