I think I have bruised the bottom of my heel. I bruised it two saturdays ago and it is still painful to put weight on it. However, I can still cartwheel and kick et al but I need it fully healed by saturday.

Is there any treatment/s I can use this late in the injury development??

As far as I know the only that will heal it is time.

What i like to do with bruises is push on them.... Make'em hurt, you will become tolerant of the pain. I'm not saying go run on it or bang against it - ie. don't do anything that will make it worse, just take your fingers and push on the bruise lightly at first, then harder as you become more tolerant. If there is more damage then just a bruise and you push it, it will hurt like hell and you should get it checked out by a doctor. If hurts just a little more than normal, keep working it. Hey, it's not for everyone but it works for me.

"Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft." - Pres. Theodore Roosevelt

"You don't have to like it, you just have to do it." - Captain Richard Marcinko, USN, Ret.

"Do more than what is required of you." - General George S. Patton

"If you have to step on someone else to stand tall, then you truely are a small person." - ?

Try contrasting thermal treatments. Basically start with a pan of ice water and a pan of hot water. Stick the heel in the ice for like a minute and a half them put it in the hot water for the same amount of time. Go back and forth between the two ending with the hot.

The heat brings blood into the area. The cold then chases the blood and the damaged detritus out of the area.
