Oh yeah I too will support the US in any war even if I do not agree. That is a pride thing. I will also pray for the troops. I have many friends who are over their now and I'm praying for them now. I have more who will be shipped over soon.

I don't really have a problem with Bush. The President Kennedy whom everybody adores is few and far between, and everybody can't be held to that standard. We're the only nation in the world truly free to elect our own idiots, and I think there's something to be said for that. IMO, any modern President is going to be trying his best, and while we may not always agree with their policies or approaches, that is really the most I would ever ask.

Might as well take my advice--I don't use it anymore.

Are u saying that u live in the only democracy in the world????U must be joking.

Lol, of course not superleeds, I just meant that sometimes we seem to have more succesful idiot politicians than the rest of the world. (not directed to Bush, I think he's smarter than people give him credit for)

Rather than cutting them off from aid, which is completely inhuman, free rich coutries should send more aid.

Spoken like a true socialist LeaF.

The aid that is given now is unappreciated. Why should it continue? I don't know too many pet owners that keep a pet that continues to bite his hand when he feeds him. Most people have those pets put to sleep or take them to the pound, where they are put to sleep.

I, as an American, am tired of countries biting the hand that feeds them. But that's just me.

I tend to think aide should be given to people who need it simply because they need it. Saying, "Like us or we'll stop helping you"... I dunno... it makes me think of the kid on the school playground with the rich parents who can only get the other kids to like him by giving them stuff. I don't think true compassion is about what you get back. The times I wouldn't give aide would be when the aide would somehow be used negatively towards another country or even towards themselves (kind of like not giving a homeless person money if you know they're just going to use it to get hammered).

I agree with charity, but not when charity is abused. Countries around the world seem to think they are entitled to the US handout. It shouldn't be that way. The US should have strings attached to the money, not food, we give to other countries, because too often those countries use that money for things that are not beneficial to the people who need it most. JMO:)
