kchenault Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Checked out the site on your post Big Game. You must haveta be one bad dude to wear a whit belt when you're a 10th dan. Isn't that an oxymoron? Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!
ZeRo Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 seems kinda weird but hay, im sure theres a reason.
Kensai Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 No not at all kchenault, most very high dan grades in Japan wear white belts. Traditionally as you train more and more your black belt (which signifies the ability to cause great harm)will begin to wear away and the black slow falls off the belt. You relise the importance of Harmony and a deeper understanding of Martial arts. So in essence you come full circle and back to where you started.
monkeygirl Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 You guys are all talking about how hard/easy the test was, so I guess I'll add mine... No comment. 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
KickChick Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 .... yeah, well it's Thursday and we'll soon find out just how poorly everyone did!
Big Game Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 Checked out the site on your post Big Game. You must haveta be one bad dude to wear a whit belt when you're a 10th dan. Isn't that an oxymoron? I think the reason he chooses to wear a white belt is because he started training in another martial art. I am not for sure though I would have to check.
