ZeRo Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 well done kickchick! 4 boards is still very good
SBN Doug Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Yes, definately well done. I'm still trying to get through 4 with a palm, while being held. I haven't quite got the speed+accuracy yet to overcome the give I encounter from the holders. Or maybe I just need better holders. Yeah that's it. SaiFightsMS Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 Holders make all the difference in the world.
KickChick Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Just curious to see if any other schools use a board holder such as ours for multiple breaks.... http://www.aitkd.com/2/gallery2.htm OH BTW ... nice pic Ken!!!!
kchenault Posted February 10, 2003 Author Posted February 10, 2003 Well, I didn't break three at once. I am instead working on a Breaking Excellence patch. 10 breaks, 10 different techniques. Gotta say, those were the hardest boards I have ever had to break. The wood must have been green. You can see a cuople pics of me in the photo album. Thanks for the encouragement last week everyone! SaiFightsMS Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 If the wood is damp that makes it much harder to break as well.
kchenault Posted February 10, 2003 Author Posted February 10, 2003 Felt like kicking and hitting the wall. I crap you negative! Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!

niel0092 Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 (edited) We use holders (ie not people) for only a few breaks, usually those with 3+ boards ie 3 board side kick, 3 board back kick and jump back kick... I think that's it. Dr. Haaland (head Inst.) holds for the 3 board flying sidekick. Edited February 10, 2003 by niel0092 "Jita Kyoei" Mutual Benefit and Welfare
