Hey all,

As you read the interviews that we publish this month for our 25th birthday celebration, you'll learn a lot about your fellow members. Even if you weren't included in the list of interviewees, you can absolutely answer these questions, too. We'd love to hear more about your background.

If you're up for it, please reply to this thread and answer the questions below! You can simply copy-and-paste them from the text block below. Thank you for taking the time. I look forward to reading your responses.

Patrick

My mom got a coupon from a magazine and I wanted to try it.

I just really enjoy karate, and martial arts in general.

I have trained in Shima-ha Shorin Ryu Karate, Yamanni-Chinen Ryu Kobujutsu, BJJ, and Muay Thai.

I haven’t tested in about 6 years, so I am still a Shodan in karate. I have trained kobudo for over 10 years but have never tested, I have no rank.

I used to teach pre-covid.

I started karate at 5 years old, so I don’t have too many memories from the beginning stages.

I’m either spending time with my wife, watching anime, or playing video games.

I am a loan officer for a small credit union.

I am hoping to progress in my training, try to incorporate more and more traditional techniques and concepts into my practice, and I’d really like to get my Nidan after all this time.
