Hi, kind of reviving this chat to see if any new people are in the Ottawa area and would be interested in exchanging and training.

Traditional dojo in the area are not very welcoming of things that are not from them or their headmaster...

I guess Im looking for a martial arts friend in the area I reside.

Did you ever manage to make it along to the Uechi Ryu dojo that Aurik mentioned? From his posts they always seem pretty practical - they all seem pretty tough and can take a hit which is half the battle in any conflict!!

Hi, yes I absolutely have, sadly however this dojo is no longer operational. The instructor is not giving classes for health reasons. It would have been a great group to join.
