Glad to hear that the Golden Knights was amongst last night winners on the ice. Knights melted the ice under the Kings here in Las Vegas with a final score of Knights 6 and the Kings 1. Next for the Knights, 4-2-1, at home will be the Senators, 4-2-0, this Friday, October 25th.

GO KNIGHTS!!

Golden Knights have signed Shea Theodore to a seven-year extension.

Another busy day in the NHL.  Jets remain the sole unbeaten team this year, now at 7-0, after a 4-3 win against Seattle.  Minnesota is now 5-0-2 with their win against Tampa.  Other winners were the LA Kings, Colorado, Florida, New Jersey. St. Louis, Dallas, and Carolina.

Fourteen games on Saturday, meaning 28 of the 32 teams were in action, to close out a very busy week in the National Hockey League.  Jets win again, now 8-0, meanwhile the Wild lose and go pointless for the first time this year, the Flyers beat them 7-5.  First regulation loss for Minnesota and a good start to the season.  The other winners on Saturday were the Sabers, Stars, Kings, Bruins, Lightning, Canadians, Rangers, Panthers, Predators, Canucks, Hurricanes, and Golden Knights.

The Jets fall for the first time this season, a 4-2 loss in Toronto, dropping them to 8-1-0, still the best team in the league right now but it ends the winning streak.  Other winners tonight were the Golden Knights, Sharks, Hurricanes, Blackhawks, Lightning, Panthers and Blue Jackets.

Sad to see the Avs losing to the Blackhawks... of course, the Avs have been struggling a bit this year.  Heck, so have my Blues, too :(

Minnesota and Marc Andre-Fleury got a win on Tuesday night against his former team, the Penguins.  The win puts Minnesota at 6-1-2, 14 points, only two behind the first place Jets.  Still a long way to go, obviously, but it is nice to get some early season wins because if you slump mid-season, and many times teams do, there is a benefit to having banked those standings points in October.  You don't have to chase as much later in the year as you do if you start out slow.  Not saying the Wild are changing my expectations of the season, but they look good so far, and I am always happy for Fleury, one of my favorite players.

Other winners were the Ducks, Flyers, Kraken, Senators, Capitals. and the San Jose Sharks have won two in a row.

Wild get the W tonight against the Ducks, moving them up to 22 points in 14 games, a record of 10-2-2.  Great start to the season.  Still four points behind first place Winnipeg who is 13-1, 26 points, the top record in the league.

Other scores from Friday were Leafs 3-1 over Red Wings, Penguins 4-2 over Capitals, and the Kraken win in overtime against the Golden Knights, 4-3.

Busy schedule tonight with 12 games.  Washington was an 8-1 winner over St. Louis and Ovi had two goals, now 31 away from Gretzky.  Ovi and the Capitals have started strong this year.  Winnipeg continues to top the league, another win tonight, this against Dallas, and they are 14-1.  Devils and Rangers were both winners, along with the Senators, Leafs, Preds, Sabers, Panthers, Avs, Kings, and Oilers.
