KarateKen Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Nashville lost in OT on Tuesday against Winnipeg but getting that one point in the standings was enough to clinch a playoff berth. With Tampa recently getting into the playoffs in the east, we now have six teams in each conference that are in, and two spots remaining. It looks like Vegas and LA will get those spots out west, but in the east it is tighter. Washington beat Detroit in regulation Tuesday so now New York Islanders and Washington are in the playoff positions, but this can change day by day. There is a big game on Thursday between Detroit and Pittsburgh. Both teams are in the playoff hunt but currently on the outside, a win is crucial to both teams. Ten days till the playoffs start!
KarateKen Posted April 11 Posted April 11 The mayor of Scottsdale rejected the idea of building an arena for the Coyotes, despite the area proposal being exclusive private money. The Coyotes are running out of time and options to strike a deal in Arizona, and news today about how the team and the league are working together to get the team sold and then move it to Salt Lake City. RIP Arizona Coyotes.
sensei8 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Knights lost to the Oliers 5-1; a dismal execution on the ice against a most formidable opponent, but not much of a surprise. Only goal for the Knights was in the 3rd quarter.Next opponent...Wild on Knights ice. Next 4 games are on Knight's ice.Quite perplexing!!GO KNIGHTS!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
aurik Posted April 11 Author Posted April 11 The Blues are still in this thing. They just whomped the Blackhawks 5-2 last night -- 4 goals scored in the first 5 minues of the game, no less. RIP Arizona Coyotes. Given that they've been playing at ASU's arena, I'm surprised they are still even financially viable. KarateKen Posted April 12 Posted April 12 The LA Kings have clinched a playoff spot and Vegas can lock up one tonight if they win against Minnesota and if St. Louis were to lose in regulation.

KarateKen Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Auston Matthews is at 69 goals, McDavid is at 99 assists. The Oilers might sit McDavid the rest of the regular season though, make sure he is good to go for the playoffs.
sensei8 Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Knights won over the Avalanche yesterday on home ice by the score of 4-3 in OT. Knights were scoreless until the 3rd period. On the other side of the puck was the Avalanche scoring twice in the 1st period and 1 score in the 2nd. I was just sitting there thinking to myself..."Anytime, Knights, you can score at any time...would be nice. And boy did they finally in the 3rd period. Then, with a big fat cherry on top, Hertl scored at 1:23 of overtime for the Knight win.Tomorrow, the 8th place in the Central, Blackhawks visit on the Knights ice.GO KNIGHTS!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
