sensei8 Posted Wednesday at 03:32 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:32 PM Knights win in OT against the Ducks; leading the series 3-2, with the final score of 3-2. Dorofeyev scored the first and last goal in OT. Dorofevev stole the puck from the Ducks and took it in himself. It was on a power play, but he also left the game after he fell to the ice, he got hit with a flying puck traveling at about 90mph. McNabb was ejected in the first period for a game misconduct for checking Poehling into the boards quite badly. Knights travel back to Anaheim ice tomorrow. One more win for my Knights to reach the Western Conference final. GO KNIGHTS!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
KarateKen Posted yesterday at 06:09 AM Posted yesterday at 06:09 AM (edited) After a strong 3-0 lead it looked like the Wild would survive and push things to a game six, but instead the Avalanche come back to tie it at three, then win in OT. It was a good season for the Wild, over 100 regular season points and got over the first-round hump, but they come up short. Maybe next year they will get their name engraved on the cup for the first time, though I doubt it. Just to add to some news of that @sensei8 posted, McNabb has been suspended for game six because of that penalty. Also. Poehling will miss the game for the Ducks as a result of the injury. If the Knights do advance, they will play Colorado. best of luck to them. It is an uphill battle facing those guys! Edited yesterday at 06:11 AM by KarateKen
aurik Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago As I was getting ready to head home from my test prep class last night, one of our students showed me that the Avs had just tied it up 3-3 with less than a minute remaining. When I got home I flipped on the game just in time to watch overtime. I was still a bit winded from the class, but definitely had enough energy for a good solid "woohoo" when the Avs won. KarateKen Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Mark Stone will not be available for Vegas tonight, so if they are going to win game six they need to do it without their captain (Stone) and one of their best defensemen in Brayden McNabb. With it being an elimination game the Ducks will be ready, so let's see how this goes. Does Vegas advance and play Colorado, or do the Ducks win and force a game 7? We will find out later tonight. Also, a big game five in the east between the Sabers and Canadians, series tied at 2-2. That starts at 7pm eastern.
sensei8 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Stone out is not good but it takes a team and not one player to win. I expected a game 7 between Knights and Ducks because that’s where the money is. GO KNIGHTS!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
KarateKen Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Knights made it look easy. Scored early and often, beating the Ducks 5-1 and advancing to the west finals and get ready to play Colorado. Game one will be on Wednesday, May 20, in Denver. Three of the final four are decided, the only one left is either Canadians or Sabers, where the Canadians won Thursday night and took a 3-2 series lead. They can close it out at home Saturday. Hit the ice!!
