My Knights must be really dizzy with their yo-yo season. While the Knights have dropped behind the Oilers in the Pacific Division, they’ve lost 4 straight games.

GO KNIGHTS!!

Right now, the top two teams in the league are Washington in the East and Winnipeg in the West.  I still think Vegas is one of the best teams in the NHL, just going through a slump. They will snap out of it.

Wild forward Ryan Hartman has been suspended 10 games for his roughing penalty against the Senators the other night, which lead to five-minute major and ejection.  Hartman has appealed the suspension.  This appears to be another attempt to injure by Hartman, who tried something similar against the Jets last season.  Senators won the game 6-0, scoring twice on the major penalty.

Two games scheduled for Monday in the Four Nations Face Off, Finland vs Canada and Sweden vs USA.  The title game will be on Thursday, where USA has already advanced.  They have six standings points while the other teams have two. The USA defeated Canada 3-1 on Saturday, locking them into the finals.  The game had three fights in the first nine seconds, including both Tkachuck brothers dropping the gloves for team USA.  Many Canada fans booed the singing of the National Anthem, then their team lost 3-1 on home ice, not a good look boys.

I have to admit, this four nations face off is MUCH better than any all-star game I've seen in the past.  I watched the USA/Canada game it brought out the skill and passion of all the players involved.  I hated the fact that the Canadians decided to boo the USA national anthem (this is about sports, not politics for pete's sake).  When the game started with 3 fights in 9 seconds, it definitely sent the message that this is not just another all-star game.

Canada defeated Finland 5-3 and will play in the finals against USA who were handed their first loss, 2-1, against Sweeden.  Brady Tkachuck was injured in the loss.  The title game between USA and Canada will be on Thursday.

Hopefully there’ll be no fighting between the two this Thursday like there was when these two faced each other.

We’ll see what we see this Thursday.
