KarateKen Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Right now, the top two teams in the league are Washington in the East and Winnipeg in the West. I still think Vegas is one of the best teams in the NHL, just going through a slump. They will snap out of it.

KarateKen Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Wild forward Ryan Hartman has been suspended 10 games for his roughing penalty against the Senators the other night, which lead to five-minute major and ejection. Hartman has appealed the suspension. This appears to be another attempt to injure by Hartman, who tried something similar against the Jets last season. Senators won the game 6-0, scoring twice on the major penalty.

The title game will be on Thursday, where USA has already advanced. They have six standings points while the other teams have two. The USA defeated Canada 3-1 on Saturday, locking them into the finals. The game had three fights in the first nine seconds, including both Tkachuck brothers dropping the gloves for team USA. Many Canada fans booed the singing of the National Anthem, then their team lost 3-1 on home ice, not a good look boys.

I watched the USA/Canada game it brought out the skill and passion of all the players involved. I hated the fact that the Canadians decided to boo the USA national anthem (this is about sports, not politics for pete's sake).
