KarateKen Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Several OT games on Thursday with the Penguins beating the Preds, the Senators over the Flames and the Oilers topped the Bruins. Other winners were the Golden Knights, Blackhawks, Blue Jackets, Kings, and Lightning. The Sharks are ahead of the Avalanche 2-1 after two.
KarateKen Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Winners on Friday were Utah, Toronto, Montreal, Washington, NY Rangers, Colorado, and Florida beat St. Louis in OT, 2-1.
sensei8 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Are my Knights trying to play some hockey or what!!?? Maybe they can go back to the Stanley Cup again this year?!?! GO KNIGHTS!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
sensei8 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 The visiting 17-17-3 Canadiens took note on the ice as they beat my 25-9-3 Knights with a final score of 3-2. This loss of the Knights snapped their win streak at 6. Dach scored the go-ahead goal midway through the 3rd period and the Canadiens goalie, Montembeault, made 27 saves. Canadiens scored 3 unanswered goals as they rallied to the win. Knights will host the 16-17-4 Flyers on January 2nd; puck drop at 7pm. GO KNIGHTS!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
KarateKen Posted January 2 Posted January 2 The Winter Classic for this season was won by the St. Louis Blues. They won 6-2 against the Blackhawks at Wrigley Field.
KarateKen Posted January 3 Posted January 3 The winter classic does not seem to draw the interest that it used to. This year the game was moved to Dec. 31 so it would not go up against the college football games, but the NHL scheduled 13 games on the 31st, so it had to compete with 12 of its own. Seems like a head scratching decision by the NHL. Twelve games on Thursday night which saw the following teams post wins: The Wild, Golden Knights, Rangers, Hurricanes, Stars, Maple Leafs, Red Wings, Ducs, Avs, Utah, Sharks and Canucks.

Sadly I was out of town on 12/31 so I had to watch a replay of the Winter Classic. I thoroughly enjoyed my Blues trouncing the Blackhawks 6-2, and the fight by the captains in the second period was a nice bit of extra punch. Your Blues won again tonight, this time 4-0 over the Senators. Other winners on Friday were the Blackhawks, Oilers, Panthers, and right now the Preds are up 1-0 on the Canucks.
sensei8 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I just want to say…how about my Golden Knights. Last year they seemed to struggle quite a bit but this year they seem to be more focused. I’m aware that we’ve not reached the All-Star and that some teams are strong out of the gate and then they unravel at the worst possible times. Hopefully, this won’t be the case and that they’ll return to the Stanley Cup and win another championship. There’s a lot of games to still be played and anything can happen in the NHL. GO KNIGHTS!! **Proof is on the floor!!!

Another win for Vegas tonight, 3-1 over the Sabers. This moves Vegas to first in the league in points, and the best record in the NHL. They have been strong all season and have enough talent to win the Cup again. That is a tough division, and the Knights are starting to separate themselves a little bit from the Kings and Oilers. On the other side, the Sabers did end that 13 game losing streak a couple weeks back but it has been another long winter of hockey in Buffalo, the steak of missing the playoffs will be extended to an NHL record of 14. Buffalo is in last place with 33 points and the franchise seems to be in "rebuild" mode every season. Tough life being a Sabers fan. At least the Bills are good.
