In Houston, TX, this movie comes to the silver screen on March 25th; I've already purchased 3 tickets for the 730pm show. Looks to be a great one, trailers are the buzz. Who to cheer for, imho, is tough because, to me, they're both hero's, with powers alike that make it a great match-up.

Godzilla Powers:

*Atomic Breath

*Metal Manipulation

*Regeneration

*Nuclear Pulse

*Spiral Heat Ray

*Atomic Rays

*Godzilla Can Transform His Body

King Kong Powers:

*Atomic breath resistance

*Durability

*Electricity absorption

*Intelligence

*Physical strength

*Radioactive immunity

Seems to stack the deck on Godzilla's side, just a tad bit. It'll be a fight for the records. My monies on Godzilla.

Me and my youngest son are both pretty jacked for this one. I'm nervous and excited at the same time, and based on the few things I've heard coming out of the rumor mill around the movie, it shall be interesting.

We are Godzilla fans, all the way. If you look back to the original Kong vs. Godzilla movie (yes, I've seen it, multiple times), Godzilla got the raw end of the stick. I think things work out differently this time.

What I find odd is that for this monsterverse to continue working, it doesn't do any good to kill off either of these titans. Both are immensely popular, and to rid the monsterverse of one of them so early into the film franchise would only be bad. I think something will possibly happen that causes them to fight together in the end, as opposed to with each other. But, we'll see.

Oh yeah, Godzilla, all the way.

Who suffers the most whenever these heavyweights clash, is the poor people because whatever city they face-off with each other, the city is decimated into ruins.

Previous movies in the MonsterVerse have presented both Godzilla and Kong as positive characters. I suspect that this one will to the same, while following the precedent of the original Toho film in having one or both of them temporarily under some kind of control by the villains of the film.

I think you are close here, but I don't think one will be under anyone's control. But, there's another angle that is possible that would make that appear to be true.

As part of my wife's, Linda, birthday yesterday, we went to see Godzilla VS Kong last night on the XD screen. It was AMAZING start to finish; the twist in the film answered a ton of questions for me. It's on HBOmax, but this movie deserves a big screen, the larger the better.
