Today, I went to my Radiation Oncologist appointment with Dr. Nathan Jones.

NO RADIATION TREATMENT THERAPY AT THIS MOMENT. If, I do have any radiation therapy treatment, the amount of sessions would depend upon whether the treatment is aggressive or not. If aggressive, 5 sessions. If non-aggressive, more than 5 sessions for an untold number.

What Dr. Jones feels now is that doing radiation right now would be doing me an absolute disservice. Dr.Jones will have a conversation with my Oncologist, Dr. Ann Wierman, about what his thoughts are, and together come to an understanding as to what’s best for me.

So, what’s the plan?!?

Dr. Jones is going to refer me to a Neurosurgeon. If that neurosurgeon refers me to have the radiation therapy treatment, than that’s what will happen. If that neurosurgeon recommends brain biopsy/surgery, then that’s what will happen.

If brain surgery is the path to take, and I live through that, then there’s a possibility of having both radiation treatments and chemotherapy.

I’m scared that I might not see Christmas this year. After all, I’m no spring chicken and I’ve other physical concerns.

You hang in there, Bob.  Keep fighting the fight!

I’m trying to…as hard as I can. Being honest, I’m quite overwhelmed with depression.
