sensei8 Posted May 2 Author Posted May 2 Dr. Goodman decided to leave the practice early, which means I won’t be able to thank him for saving my life and nor will I be able to pick his brain for recommendations for a new Oncologist!! Comprehensive Cancer Center has helped me to find a new Oncologist!! Dr. Imran Ahmed, MD. I don’t know much about him at the moment. I have an appointment with Dr. Ahmed on May 16th at 8:15am. The one good thing is that Dr. Ahmed’s office is much closer to where I live; Dr. Goodman’s office was a 30 minute drive from where I lived but well worth the drive. **Proof is on the floor!!!
sensei8 Posted May 2 Author Posted May 2 CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE UPDATE: I saw my kidney doctor, Dr. Marwah Al-Khazaali, M.D., and she says that my last bloodwork shows that my numbers went down!! That means that I’m in between stage 3 and stage 2, which is great news!! My kidney doctor was very happy with my progress!! She wants to see me in 5 months!! She wants me to stay away from SALT!!!!! *NOTE: I’m sorry that I’m posting ALL of my different medical updates within my prostate cancer thread, and I know it might be quite confusing to follow, but I thought it might be best to post ALL of my medical updates here in this thread instead of starting new medical threads for each. 4 **Proof is on the floor!!!

sensei8 Posted May 16 Author Posted May 16 Saw my new Oncologist, Dr. Imran Ahmed, MD, at 8:15am. Key results: A) PSA 0.05 **No concerns!! B) Testosterone 235 **Goal is 276!! Dr.Ahmed says there’s no concerns that this number increased by 160 in 4 months; to be expected and this number will level out!! Dr. Ahmed was very pleased with EVERYTHING!! My kidneys are doing much better, my diabetes is nearly GONE, my weight is dropping, and my cancer is STILL in complete remission!! My next appointment with Dr. Ahmed is September 19, 2025 at 8am. 1 **Proof is on the floor!!!

sensei8 Posted Tuesday at 06:17 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:17 PM First, I lose Dr. Oscar Goodman, my Oncologist, because he left Comprehensive Cancer Center, but I was able to find Dr. Imran Ahmed, my new Oncologist, who was with the Comprehensive Cancer Center practice. Things were looking pretty good!! Until today!! I receive this disheartening letter from Comprehensive Cancer Center... "We regret to inform you that, effective September 21, 2025, our providers will no longer be participating in the Alignment Health Plan Medicare Advantage network." My medical insurance is Alignment Heath Plan Medicare Advantage!! While I'm not actively receiving any treatments, and I'm still in complete remission, I still need regular appointments with an Oncologist so my cancer can still be managed. I’m not cancer free yet!! Can’t hitch up to that pony until there’s no detectable cancer for 5 years; it’s only been 2 years this December. I’ve reached out to my medical insurance broker, Josh, so that we can discuss any possible options. Sometimes I feel it’s like walking through the eye of a needle!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
Patrick Posted Tuesday at 10:41 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:41 PM Sorry to hear that, Bob. This has been an incredible exercise in persistence on your part.
