jiu-jitsu fighter Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 there was this girl today, in bjj class and she threw a fit, because i was going rough with , her, she is my size, im 135, and 16 yrs old , she has spent 2 years in shootfighting, by the way, i told her ok ill take it easier, but not easy, and she said im only a girl and proceeded to go full force with her vast knowledge of shootfighting, i myself being a beginner in bjj , thought ok ill continue tough , she started swaring and such, and i told her this is not a game, this is combatives, what if a guy is trying to rape you, are you gonna tell him to go easy? what a B***H , can anyone give me some advice on dealing with people like this "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
omnifinite Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 Ask her what she's really there to learn I guess. Maybe something will sink in when she thinks about it. 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
Freestyler Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 why don't you find someone else to roll with ? I always go hard, I'm there to train - don't wanna waste my time with people who aren't.
jiu-jitsu fighter Posted January 8, 2003 Author Posted January 8, 2003 evryone had a partner, and i didn't so , she acted as if she was doin me a favor , otherwise i would never roll with her im there to learn "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
Kensai Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 Make sure you try to find someone that you can train hard with. I always feel cheated unless I am really knackered. I remember this Karate guy that came to some Ninjutsu classes and was using karate techniques in the class. I think that is one of the most disrespectful things anyone can do, as if he was doing us a favour! Thats people I guess. Yours in Aiki.
SaiFightsMS Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 It is ultimately the responsibility of the instructor to handle situations like that when they become a problem.
jiu-jitsu fighter Posted January 10, 2003 Author Posted January 10, 2003 i will not change the intensity of my training for her, mind you, there are other girls in the class an they don't complain, "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
jiu-jitsu fighter Posted January 15, 2003 Author Posted January 15, 2003 she has stayed away from me , and if she does want to roll with me i will take it up a notch and show that 120lbs itch what knee on belly feels like LOL "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
