Im new to the forums...Im currently studying and trying to remember my katas and kihon from shotokan so that i can return and continue my training. I think i was a 1st kyu in shotokan before i left, i was doing either kanku dai or hangetsu. Im not really certain since its been over a two years :o So if anyone can help me try to get back to where i was before, i would be very grateful :) thanks...
hey welcome to the forums, koji.

It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, for the most essential things are invisible to the eye.

Welcome to the forum. Oh by the way hangetsu is the kata with the funny stance and kanku dai is the one with the jumping double kick. Help any?
I have a friend who does Shotokan :) Welcome to the forum.

hi welcome! good luck with your training.

Welcome

Kanku is more than likely a 1st kuy kata. Hangetus is usually taught as a black belt kata. Kanku is the sum of all the Heian kata's. Those are 2 of my favorite kata.

(General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."

Welcome.

My only advise is DON'T STOP!

Welcome!
