well of course common sense tells you dont do it smoking is bad for your health..the reason its so hard to stop is becuase these cigarrete companys have chemist working twenty four seven making new ingredients to keep you lighting up..me i picked the habit up in the service (all you do in the service is smoke and drink) at that time i smoked nearly a pack and a half a day..now i smoke ocassionally on the weekend when i go out and have a few beers but then thats it..its funny though cause any other time i get nauseas when i smell someone else smoking..i need to stop altogether even a little can do alot of damage

Actually, that's wrong. I smoke occasionally at weekends and I am not unfit.

Another thing, my boyfriend is in the army and he says nearly everyone there smokes and they are VERY FIT.

So yeah, smoking is disgusting and bad for you and all those things, but so what? So is alcohol. So is crisps. So is cake and chocolate.

The main reason I stopped was because of the awful smell...and the fact that I could afford to drink more alcohol

yeah fit but with no breath or endurance ..believe me..when i was in the navy people were "fit" but they had trouble completeing my physical evaluations(I was the drill instructor for command fitness at the portsmouth naval hospital in virginia) because of the lack of endurance which i could attribute to regular smoking as far as comparing it with cheerios and twinkies..when was the last time you saw someone die slowly and painfully from lung cancer due to those?

Thankyou

In denmark there is no age restriction, that is probably why that 2/5 of the danish population(5 million) smoke!

And only 15 to be able to buy beer, licker and all sorts of alcohol.

I honestly have never drank or smoked and probably never will.

The only thing that confusses me is that ---- how come when people are stressed they smoke and then they say they are fine afterwards? Isnt that some kinda high?....just curious!! My mom and her Boyfriend both smoke and drink and when they smoke I move away so it wont get on my work clothes are near any of my property. Basicly my bedroom where I 'live' and have things in here that mean stuf to me and dont want them smelling like ashtrays!

Anyways, why feel stressed then you smoke then say youre fine when you know its not healthy?

Thx
