My teacher said that when you really really don't feel like exercising simply don't train. When you feel like exerciseing then train. He sais that that you should listen to your body and that it is not being lazy, so you don't injure your self. And that exercise is to be enjoyed, not something that is manditiory- it causes to much stress.

I don't completly agree with this. I beleive that training is not only for the purpose of creating a stronger and fitter body, but to creat a resulute spirit that never gives up. Mas Oyama is a perfect example. For 3 years he trained 12 hours a day, everyday,- never having a day off. This man would never give up. The Military encompasses training everyday to build a strong mind (spirit) that never gives up, so when under fire they wont cowar and run away, but keep there cool and fight. I beleive that you shopuld push your self- train everyday-never give in to poor motivation or the fear o injury and laziness. This will then turn into a habbit.

What do you think?

All my years of training..., I never wanted to get my tired lazy butt up to go and train! But I made myself go train regardless. It's not that I didn't love to train, it's just that when sitting around home it was hard to get out and go - but I would still go... About 30 seconds into training, I'm loving it and really glad I went. :)

Nishiyama use to tell us that, "if you have cold, you come train. If you have fever, you stay home." So from a health perspective, your body may not always be telling you that you want to train, but in many cases it is good for your health to train.

Now, as far as training until you have repetitive pain (RSI), or you are not able to keep up your calorie intake, or your body is shutting down from lack of nutrition, overstressing, and overworking, this is when you better listen to your body's message to back off and get your health back in order prior to continue training...!
