singularity6 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I just bought a Shock Doctor cup/shorts combo from Amazon.com (it was on sale for $12, or so, down from $30 or $40.) It fits well, and is reasonably comfortable. The cup protrudes a bit more than I prefer (it looks a bit inappropriate.) Anyone else have experiences with these?Recommendations for an affordable cup? 5th Geup Jidokwan Tae Kwon Do/Hap Ki Do(Never officially tested in aikido, iaido or kendo)
LLLEARNER Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I have the ShockDoctor. It does "protrude". "Those who know don't talk. JR 137 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 For some reason, every cup I've recently come across is narrow and protrudes out too far. Not to be that guy, but it seems like everything's supposed to be stuffed in.I miss the wider and less protruding ones.
singularity6 Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 That sucks. 5th Geup Jidokwan Tae Kwon Do/Hap Ki Do(Never officially tested in aikido, iaido or kendo)
neoravencroft Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 I just recently bought a Shock Doctor cup and strap too. It does bulge out a bit, but seeing as I'm wearing shorts over them it's not as apparent. Under gi on the other hand I can see where the concern is. Other than that it seems to be doing what it was made for. Well, at least for me it is. "When I have listened to my mistakes, I have grown." ~Bruce Lee
Nidan Melbourne Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 That is unfortunate that it 'protudes' out. The most I have seen from Shock Doctor are their mouth guards, and not much else.
LLLEARNER Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 It protrudes enough that I don't want to wear the cup in class. "Those who know don't talk.
