I recently ordered the book online. Overall, I'd say it seems like a very good guideline for a physical fitness plan. The man was in amazing shape, after all! Here are some notes.

Good:

  • Explains Bruce Lee's overall philosophy when it comes to weight, resistance, isometric, cardio, flexibility training as well as diet.
  • Provides the reader with a list of exercises and their verbal descriptions.
  • Gives one a solid picture of the routines Bruce Lee would follow.

Bad:

  • Most exercises do not have any real visual depictions. Pictures included are just nifty pictures of Bruce Lee doing what Bruce Lee does. Fortunately we have YouTube to fall back on!

Ugly:

  • WAY too much fluff. This book could either be half the size if we left out all the chatter the author adds in, or it could have included useful pictures/diagrams depicting each exercise.

Yep, I am aware! It does have many photos of Bruce Lee's hand-written journals/workout logs. John Little was also a friend of Bruce Lee's.
