Yeah, I think the 80's was the last time I seriously "played" video games... I can remember playing the Gauntlet into the wee hours ... but "Castlevania" was my ultimate fav!!!

I prefered 'Simon's Quest', the sequel to Castlevania. My god that was a strange game - I remember having to hold the blue crystal whilst kneeling at a lake to open a secret passage....and those eyes......those horrible flying eyes......

 

Then there was the famous 'Link' - the hero who saved Princess Zelda....
