Nidan Melbourne Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 So today (Sunday March 5th) I will be attending the AKF (Australian Karate Federation) - Victoria State Championships. This tournament is the highest level tournament in my home state of Victoria. It operates under the WKF Rules as the AKF is my Countries National Federation recognised by the WKF. I am 1 of 17 on my division which is one of the largest of the day. Will keep everyone posted
wayneshin Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 How did you go. Saw your face across the other side of the competition area but was so busy I didn't get the chance to say Hi.
Nidan Melbourne Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 Lost in the first round 5-0 and lost in Repechage 4-1. Twas going to say hi when you were on Tatami 2 before everything started. But you were busy with the little ones warming up. Missed out on a potential state team invite. Haha. But the competition was tough today though, considering it was essentially a state team battle.
wayneshin Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Yeah - looked a tough division.Looks like your club did pretty well.
Nidan Melbourne Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 We came 4th overall out of around 60 Clubs. It was Kimekai, Shindo (your club) and Kakushinkan that beat us.
sensei8 Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 All in all, effort is always the reward. You fought...win or lose...then you reap the reward of having the experience!! Congrats!!!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
