bushido_man96 Has Been a Moderator for 10 Years!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Thank you for visiting KarateForums.com.

Today’s livestream wasn’t what I said it would be. That was a cover because today marks 10 years since bushido_man96 (Brian) became a Sensei, or a moderator, here at KarateForums.com.

Nidan Melbourne (Liam) had the idea to surprise Brian with a livestream where we could talk about this amazing milestone and about the incredible contribution that Brian has made to our community. Thank you to DWx (Danielle) for joining me and Brian on the stream. You can watch a replay here:

(please note this was very impromptu and there is some squeaking on the audio)

During Brian’s time on our team, he has demonstrated a great selflessness in his efforts to help, share with and learn from his fellow members. Through his kind, thoughtful approach to contributing here, Brian has set a wonderful example for new members to follow. And if you have stuck around here for any period of time, you’ve almost certainly come in contact with Brian, as he has made more posts here than anyone else. And those posts are of a great quality.

But since we are marking 10 years as a moderator, it is worth noting that, as a staff member, Brian has demonstrated an incredible consistency helping maintain the community, in a way that is both essential and largely hidden in that most members may never come in contact with us. He’s an absolute team player who really believes in this community and has helped to maintain it because of the deep appreciation he has for it.

As a small token of the appreciation that we feel for Brian, we wanted to do something nice for him. We’re going to send Brian and his wife, Vicki, out for a great dinner at a restaurant local to them, that was recommended to me by their daughter, Kayla. Once Brian and Vicki pick a date, I’ll make the reservation and take care of the rest.

Brian, thank you for your support over the years, for your kindness and loyalty and for everything that you have done in our community.

Please join me in congratulating Brian and sharing your thoughts on the mark he has made at KarateForums.com.

Sincerely,

Patrick

Congratulations again Brian :)

As I said, you were one of the first people to welcome me to the forum and were one of the main reasons I stuck around. Thanks for everything you do here!

Thank you, Patrick, and thank you to everyone that is and has been a part of this great community. You all make it what it is, a very special place to me.

Over the course of time I've spent here, I've received more help and support than I can recount or even attempt to give the credit it deserves. That's just how great this community is.

Again, a big thank-you to all of you! This was a great surprise, and it really made my day!

Sorry I couldn't make the stream, but congratulations Brian! I've learned so much from you during my time here and you're an amazing asset to this community. Thank you for all the time you put into helping those of us who are newer to the martial arts world!

Congrats Brian, it sucks I couldn't end up making the stream courtesy of work making life difficult.

Would have loved to have made it and watch it live or even participate.

Btw loved your shoutout Patrick!

Congratulations, Brian, and thank you for everything that you do! I was hoping to be able to make it to the livestream, but it was during my work hours and I wasn't able to get away with a webcam at the time. I hope you enjoy your dinner!

Congrats Bushido_man96! I am sure it is well deserved.

The person who succeeds is not the one who holds back, fearing failure, nor the one who never fails-but the one who moves on in spite of failure.
