I'm 42 and I started MA just 9 months ago.

I took a quite physical art (kickboxing) and sometimes I feel my I do not have enough stamina.

But I think I will earn some by hard training.

Anyhow when I spar with people of my experience level even if much younger and better fit I can still give them a lot of trouble You can be sure .... :)

43. Started training again 1 year ago. It just takes longer to heal. Got hit shin-on-shin 8 weeks ago. The edema is still resolving. Darn 16 year old didn't even feel it. :kaioken:

I have taken many shin hits. Lots of students old and young in our dojo wear shin pads. I don't but then again I don't bruise that easily and so far have not had anything with perminant damage there. I have had some issues with broken toes, bruised ribs etc though.

I am 42 have been training since I was 8. It really does not seem that long but lord knows I have the scars and shin dents to show for it.
