Safroot
Similar situation for me, my son went to my school last week for the first lesson. Lots of newbies that night too, so was ideal. But he was shattered, the class is just too late. His bedtime is 7pm and the class was 6-7, which is too much of a stretch right now. 6 months and I'll try him again, see how he goes.My expectations are discipline, fun and motor skills at this age. Good luck with the next trial. 6-7 for kids is a bit late, my daughter's class is 4-4:30 or 3:30-4 "The Martial Arts begin with a point and end in a circle." strangepair03
I had my son enrolled in a local dojo when he was 7, he really didn't like it much so after about 4 months he asked to stop. I said no problem. Now at 12 he is back and really loving it.....Thankfully, because I can't teach him!!! A punch should stay like a treasure in the sleeve. It should not be used indiscrimately.Kyan Chotoku Sensei
bushido_man96
There are lots of good points in this thread. What I would be looking for in the class is for your child to keep moving. Lots of physical activities that work on the things like DWx mentioned, such as balance, coordination, etc. They will probably also be developing their concentration, work ethic, focus (paying attention), and things like this. If they are hitting these things, then they are doing good. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
