skullsplitter Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I'm testing for my ni-dan tonight. Our test is strictly kata so it's not as hard core of a test as I've seen others discuss. I'm still a nervous wreck though. I'll have to ace tekki sandan, bassai sho, jion, jitte, and sochin. That's more than enough for this old guy!
sensei8 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Good luck; you'll do fine, so relax and don't fret over any possible mistakes that you might make. The testing cycle will take care of itself!! **Proof is on the floor!!!

skullsplitter Posted September 21, 2016 Author Posted September 21, 2016 I passed! I was actually pleased with myself on 4 of the 5 katas. I had a little issue with bassai sho due to a lot of nerves.
Patrick Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Congrats! That's awesome. ashworth Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Massive congrats! many people stop after shodan, well done for being one of the ones that kept going! Out of interest as it was just kata how long did the grading take? did you have to do any application work? or just do the kata? Ashley AldworthTrain together, Learn together, Succeed together...
