One of the main reasons I am not a fan of the white gi. Though I will wear all white for special occasions.

If I ever start my own school, we'll wear black gis at least until black belt (then probably white tops with black bottoms as I think the black belt just looks better on a white top as opposed to the full ninja look.

The white top does look nice, but now you have to wash the white top separately, so that becomes a pain in itself. Ugh, you can never win, lol

I personally feel like you shouldn't wash [the belt], but obviously depends on the brand of the belt itself.

Because it can damage the quality of the belt or reduce the life of the belt itself. I have an Adidas Belt and the instructions were not to wash.

Obviously it depends on what type MA you do and also where. Because Ground Arts would need to wash the belt more than say stand up MA.

I'm sweaty enough that my belt is damp most classes, I just hang it out in the shade each week after washing the doboks. Breeze and some UV is enough to keep it clean.
