MAfreak
hello everyone!my name is tobias and i'm a martial arts enthusiast from germany.i started with karate and took lessons in (or watched to) many other styles to find out what are they doing differently and why (judo, jiu jitsu, kobudo, (kick)boxing, krav maga etc.).however to introduce myself i thought it would be appropriate to post an older sparring video from a charity event which was open for every combat sportsman (or woman). so here it is:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPy3v2IM0K4

Zaine
Welcome to KF! It's great to have you! Nice video. I have old sparring videos laying around that I will look at every once in awhile. It's always cool to see where we've been and how far we've come from then. MAfreak
thank you!this is interesting. i'm from the east, about an one-hour-drive from berlin. just for the sake of completeness i wanna attach two more short sparring videos. two times i saw videos on youtube or facebook where i found myself in,which is funny when you see yourself in trouble 'cause being fully exhausted or with bigger and heavier guys. but no excuses, i cut the scenes and put them on my own small channel. the first one was on the same karate & mma event like from above:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7yXf94ktAwthe second one was on a similar event by the boxers and kickboxers here, so standup only:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qoarv6JYYo8sorry for the bad quality, the camera guys or girls panned the cameras and i had to zoom with software. MAfreak
i was 5th kyu /1st blue belt in wkf karate.but i made a mma training too and i must admit, i left karate (in the time between those 2 videos) since it was not very effective for close combat.maybe its just the wkf style, but that one wasn't very competitive.many nonsense was shown as self-defense-technique, i was really disappointed.
